Sizing & Safety
When shopping for infant/child shoes there is no shortage of confusing options. To best ensure fit here's my recommendation.
1. Take a piece of paper and place it on the floor.
2. Place babies foot on the paper and help them stand (as best you can)
3. Trace the foot
4. Measure the tracing from middle of heel to tip of big toe.
VOILA - you now have a measurement to go by. If you are close to the top end of the measurements of the shoe, you can size up, but the shoes are a generous fit.
- 0-6 months - 4.25"
- 6-12 months - 4.75"
- 12-18 months - 5.25"
- 18-24 months - 5.75
Proper use of the shoe is to open ankle area wide & slide foot in - ensure child's toes are NOT caught in the elastic around the ankle. Do not leave any items alone with the child when they are not supervised by an adult and discontinue use with any signs of wear.
**Please keep in mind this is an average scale, and all items are sewn by hand and no two pairs will be exactly alike. If lining with fleece the fit will be slightly smaller.
